An MTA bus operator drove off of a Bronx parkway, leaving the vehicle ominously hanging off the overpass — but neither the driver nor the passengers were harmed during the Friday morning scare, cops said.
The motorist lost control of the bus, missed a turn and skidded over the stone wall of the Henry Hudson Parkway near Kappock Street in Spuyten Duyvil just after 8:40 a.m., authorities said. It’s unclear if there were passengers on the bus.
Video posted on Citizen shows the front of the bus precariously dangling over the wall, with huge chunks of collapsed stone seen on the roadway below and firefighters gathered at the scene.
The driver was safely extracted from the bus, police said about a half-hour after the collision.
