Kevin Federline Shares 2 Messages Jamie Lynn Spears Sent About Britney Spears’ Sons

Kevin Federline reveals in his upcoming memoir that his wife, Victoria Prince, stays in touch with his ex Britney Spears‘ family.

Federline, 47, writes in You Thought You Knew that Prince, 42, has received at least two lengthy messages from Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, since the Princess of Pop’s 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021.

First, Jamie Lynn, 34, contacted Prince about Britney, 43, “lashing out” at the former couple’s two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, on social media, according to Federline’s book.

“Honestly, this makes me want to cry because I feel for those boys so much,” the Zoey 101 alum purportedly wrote. “I’m her little sister by 10 years, and I can’t imagine what her actual children must feel like at times, but I am familiar with the feeling of being a dingy trying to survive in a wave caused by another’s ship, feeling like you have to rescue yourself. I always wanted her to get better, especially for the boys.”

Jamie Lynn allegedly admitted that she had “started to resent” Britney for “how she treated” Preston and Jayden and also said the “Toxic” singer was “incapable” of taking “accountability.”

“I’m still trying to come to terms with how she could be so unaware of anything outside of herself,” she continued, per Federline. “I spent my whole life based around what was best for Britney, and I never wanted to step on any toes as the little sister, so I quietly built my own life and career. I tried to be supportive, but in a way that was healthy for my own well-being.”

Federline shares that Jamie Lynn later bought Jayden a piano as a Christmas gift, which led her to reach out to Prince again.

“Jayden sent me the sweetest message about getting his piano, and it made my heart so happy to hear him so happy,” she purportedly wrote. “I know I’ve said it so many times, but it’s worth repeating — I’m so thankful the boys have had y’all to raise them to be well-mannered, appreciative and kind boys. Any parent who’s actually raised their children knows that raising kids is the toughest job on Earth, and you both are raising those boys and their siblings while also having to constantly protect and shield them from so much chaos that no one would ever understand unless they lived through it.”

Jamie Lynn supposedly said there was not “enough money or material things in the world” for Preston and Jayden to be able to repay their dad and stepmom for caring for them when Britney “couldn’t be bothered.”

“And I’m sure my sister has never thanked y’all for raising her children and still being beyond gracious to allow her so many chances to take part in their lives, even when y’all had more than enough reasons to validate cutting that off,” she continued, according to the tell-all. “So I wanted y’all to know how much you are appreciated and supported by those of us who love those boys.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Jamie Lynn’s rep for comment.

Britney blasted Federline’s memoir as a money grab in an X post on Wednesday, October 15, writing in part, “Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here. … I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”

Britney was under a conservatorship from 2008 to 2021. The legal arrangement gave her father, Jamie Spears, control of her personal, financial and medical decisions, which caused the pair to become estranged.

During that time, Britney also had a falling out with her sons, whom she welcomed while married to Federline from 2004 to 2007. However, the Grammy winner has since reunited with both Preston and Jayden over the past year.

Federline said in an exclusive interview with Us on Wednesday that he keeps “an open-door policy for everyone,” from his former in-laws to Britney herself.

“I keep them all close. I do talk to them,” he shared of the Spears family. “I wouldn’t say every day, but they know that if they need to call me, they can call me and I’ll pick up the phone. And that goes for everybody.”
