The Denver Broncos completed one of the craziest comebacks in recent NFL history with their win over the New York Giants — and the wife of Broncos quarterback Bo Nix barely made it out in one piece.

Izzy Nix, who married the Broncos star, 25, in July 2022, was on hand at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High to witness the Broncos’ incredible 33-32 victory over the Giants on Sunday, October 19, a game in which they trailed 19-0 after the third quarter.

“I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing,” Izzy, 27, wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a picture with her husband on the field after the game. “GO BRONCOS!!!!! 🤠🧡😅.”

Izzy shared Bo’s statistical achievements from the game in another Story, writing, “My eyes may or may not have been closed 🫣😆.”

Bo became the first quarterback in NFL history to record two or more passing and rushing touchdowns in the same quarter.

It’s been an eventful month for Bo and Izzy away from football, as well.

Earlier this month, the couple announced they are expecting their first baby. “Nix party of 3!!!,” they shared via Instagram on October 10.

When Bo and the Broncos traveled to London to face the New York Jets on October 11, the trip across the pond turned into a family affair.

Izzy was able to spend some quality time with Bo’s mom, Krista, which she showed off on social media.

“Thanks, Bo, for your London business trip!” Krista shared via Instagram. “He always has to work while we play but NFL London gave me an opportunity to have the sweetest week with two of my girls and a long overdue visit with my Aunt Wendy…lots of memories made!🤍 🇬🇧 👑🏈”

Before Sunday’s improbable comeback, NFL teams had lost 1,602 consecutive games when trailing by at least 18 points with six minutes to play. With 5:01 left to play, Bo rushed for a touchdown to cut the Giants lead to 26-16, after a completed two-point conversion.

The Broncos scored all 33 of their points in the fourth quarter, the second-most points scored in a single quarter by a team in NFL history.

“I don’t even know how we scored 33 points in a quarter, that’s kind of insane,” Bo said after the game. “It’s just whatever we had to get done, we did it … By any means necessary.”

He added, “I was thinking about how I was going to answer questions if we got shut out. Once we scored and got the 2-point conversion, it was like we knew how to play again.”

The fourth quarter saw Bo score four touchdowns. In addition to the two with his legs, Bo threw touchdown passes to wide receiver Troy Franklin and running back RJ Harvey

After the Broncos took a 30-26 lead, the Giants actually took the lead back with 1:14 left after quarterback Jaxson Dart scored a two-yard rushing touchdown.

However, a missed extra point by Giants kicker Jude McAtamney paved the way for a 39-yard game-winning field goal by Broncos kicker Will Lutz as time expired.

Bo and the Broncos improved to 5-2, good for a one-game lead over the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC West.
