Influencer Britt Horton is honoring brother Caleb after his death.
“It doesn’t seem possible that there could be a life without you in it 💔,” Horton wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, December 2. “Being 18 months apart you were always my little sidekick in life, my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, the one who was always down to do anything with me no matter how big or small, the one I could talk to about anything or nothing, and no matter what you always made me laugh!”
She concluded, “You lit up every room always. A piece of me will forever be missing. I love you so much Kbob and I cannot wait for the day I get to see you again ❤️.”
Alongside the message, Horton shared a series of clips of her and her family members with Caleb through the years. She did not share a cause of death.
“This video😢💔 so sorry sister sending so much love,” influencer Dede Raad wrote in the comments section, while creator Mary Lauren added, “Britt, I’m in tears. I know your pain and it is unbearable. I wish I could give you a hug. I am so incredibly sorry. He seems like the best brother, so much light. Praying for your family, that your hearts will heal in time. ❤️❤️❤️.”
Horton went on to share a message to her more than 428,000 followers via her Instagram Story, thanking them for the support as she mourns her brother.
“I can’t tell you all thank you enough for the messages, comments, texts, calls, flowers, meals sent to the house, just everything,” Horton wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 3. “Seeing the messages from people I don’t even know, telling me about how much Caleb touched their lives, is making us so happy to hear and brings so much comfort.”
She concluded, “Thank you for loving our fam and being here for us. It means so so much.”
In another Instagram Story, Horton shared a throwback photo of her family members sitting beside a campfire outside.
“We’re going through pictures and laughing over this one because remember how I said I grew up camping and hated it … this pic proves it,” she wrote.
Horton went on to share a photo of her and her siblings smiling for the camera, writing, “Not sure how we even go from 5 of us to 4 of us.”
In a final Story, Horton shared a sweet video of her brother being scared. “We have been crying laughing at all our [videos] of him,” she wrote. “He was the funniest person without even trying.”
Horton rose to fame online by sharing a glimpse of her life as a mom of three. Days before sharing the news of Caleb’s death, Horton reflected on her Thanksgiving with her family.
“Thanksgiving week: where no fancy outfits or makeup is worn, and the kids biggest goals are to catch a fish and get as muddy as they can 🙌🏻,” she captioned an Instagram post in November. “One of our fav weeks of the entire year!!!”
