ASAP Rocky Hints He and Rihanna Are Already Married: ‘I’m Still Not Gonna Confirm It’

ASAP Rocky has long called girlfriend Rihanna his “wife” — and now he’s hinting that they may already have tied the knot.

“How you know I’m not already a husband?” the rapper, 36, quipped when asked whether he was looking forward to being a husband in a Tuesday, September 23, interview with Elle. “I’m still not gonna confirm it.”

While Rocky played coy about the legal status of his relationship with Rihanna, 37, he did explain how they keep their busy professional lives from interfering with their family dynamic.

“We don’t talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day,” he said. “When you come home, it’s about family. It’s about your relationship. It’s about your household. It ain’t about all that other s***.”

The couple, who went public with their romance in late 2019, are currently expecting their third baby. They already share sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2. Rocky noted they don’t know the sex of baby No. 3, but he’s personally hoping for a girl.

“Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby,” he told the outlet. “The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

Earlier this year, Rocky referred to Rihanna as his “wife” during an interview with Mystery Fashionist.

“That’s my son — she my son,” the “Peso” rapper said in March. “Birds of a feather, flock together. I’m gonna ride till the wheels fall off like she do. That’s my dog, that’s my n****, that’s my bitch, that’s my wife, that’s my everything.”

Last year, Rihanna sparked further marriage rumors when she gushed about her home life with Rocky and their kids.

“Motherhood, wifehood-ish, wife-ish hood and just being a homebody. I love it,” she told E! News in October 2024. “I love to be a homemaker. I have a lot of women in my home right now, and I just like to be exciting and celebrate things. I’m trying to build new traditions for our little family that we built.”

The Fenty Beauty founder confirmed her pregnancy at the Met Gala in May, joking that her third child won’t delay her long-awaited ninth album. (Her most recent album, Anti, came out in 2016.)

“Maybe a couple videos [will be delayed],” she quipped to Entertainment Tonight. “But I can sing!”
