Kris Jenner got transparent about her recent facelift.
Jenner, 69, opened up to Vogue Arabia about going under the knife for their September cover story published on Tuesday, August 26, showcasing her results after months of fan speculation about her youthful appearance.
“I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she shared. “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.”
Jenner, who first got a facelift in 2011 courtesy of Dr. Garth Fisher, who is also the doctor behind her daughter Kylie Jenner’s breast augmentation, added that she viewed her facelift as “aging gracefully.”
“If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything,” she said. “But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
Kris revealed that family members supported her decision to get the procedure and . made sure to be there every step of the way. “Of course my daughter Kylie went with me, while Kim [Kardashian] was present at all times on FaceTime,” she said, noting that she went to Dr. Steven Levine this time.
The TV personality shared that she’s now deciding to “reveal” some of the details about her procedure because she wants to help others going through the same thing. “I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about themselves,” she explained. “Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful.”
In her cover story, Kris opened up about turning 70 in November and still feeling “great” and “happy” after reaching the milestone.
“I just have to try my best to do what I can to feel good and healthy,” she said. “My blessing is my family. If I can be a part of their lives in the best way possible, then I’m thrilled.”
