Could Travis Kelce be next in line for some custom sparkle?
Artifex Fine’s Kindred Lubeck, who designed Taylor Swift‘s engagement ring, hinted she would jump at the opportunity to create a champion-worthy creation for the Kansas City Chiefs star, 36, should the team punch their ticket to Super Bowl LX in 2026.
When asked if she is open to designing Super Bowl rings, she gushed, “I would! Yes, absolutely,” during a Friday, October 17, appearance on the Today show.
Should the Chiefs secure a win at the big game, Lubeck would likely offer up a separate ring than what the team would traditionally give their players.
Jostens has created 35 of the 53 Super Bowl rings, including the first-ever. Other go-to designers for the NFL teams include Balfour and Tiffany & Co., the latter of which designed the iconic Vince Lombardi trophy.
During her TV appearance, Lubeck said she was over the moon after hearing Swift’s praise about her work earlier this month. The dazzling piece that Kelce picked out from Lubeck featured an old mine brilliant cut diamond set on a gold band with more small stones.
“Oh my gosh … the fact that she recognized my work, that is such an incredible honor. She said, ‘I know who made that.’ When I heard her say that, that was the most exciting thing,” Lubeck proudly shared, referring to Swift’s remarks to British radio show Heart Breakfast.
“She does all of her gold engraving by hand, and I just thought her stuff was so cool,” Swift said on October 3. “So I’d shown him a video a year and a half ago, and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out. When I saw the ring, I was like (gasps), ‘I know who made that. I know who made that. I know who made that. And also, he listened to me!’ He did amazing.”
Lubeck — who actually obtained a degree in psychology — began making her own designs at the age of 25, kicking off her career in the jewelry world in 2019.
“This is something I think you only dream of happening to you, so it’s incredibly surreal. Like, I have a ‘pinch me’ moment everyday. But, also, it’s such an honor,” she added.
Jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia previously speculated to Us Weekly that Swift’s ring could be worth between $950,000 to $1,270,000 after Kelce got down on one knee to pop the question. (He proposed on August 10, roughly two weeks before they announced their engagement on August 26.)
The Abelini founder told Us, “The stone itself looks to be easily in the 7–10 carat range, which immediately places it among the most iconic celebrity engagement rings.”
Another jeweler, Laura Taylor, who specializes in engagement and wedding rings, estimated that Swift’s sparkler could be up to 12 carats, echoing to Us that it was “easily worth” $1 million.
That same month, another insider dished to Us how Kelce carefully selected the perfect engagement ring for his bride-to-be, noting he is “incredibly thoughtful” and had a “clear vision of what he wanted.”
“He did it almost entirely on his own,” the source shared. “He knows her so well and what she likes — a timeless, classic, vintage touch.”
